The City of Sacramento does not hold any vital statistic records such as birth, death, or marriage certificates. Generally recordings of vital statistics are held in the county where they occurred and can be obtained by contacting the County Clerk. The County/Clerk Recorder's office is also often the office of record for recorded land actions including property ownership information, deeds, parcel recording, and parcel tax information. In Sacramento County contact the Sacramento County Clerk’s Office at 916 874 6334 or on the web at http://www.ccr.saccounty.net

For child support and visitation, divorce, bankruptcy, or probate records contact the County Superior Court in the County where the action was filed. Visit the Sacramento Superior Court’s Website for additional information at: http://www.saccourt.ca.gov
